Outline of this story
Aks, which is a saga of Good vs Evil revolves around this special intelligence officer Manu Verma (Amitabh Bachchan) and his fight against Evil in the form of Raghavan (Manoj Bajpai), a man who enjoys killing. Weaved in between is a plot to assassinate the Prime Minister. Manu Verma's problems begin after he manages to arrest Raghavan and has him sentenced to death. The spirit of the dead man takes possession of the security officer and makes him commit acts which are totally out of character. Raghavan's spirit is out for revenge against the officer and he tries to destroy his personal and professional life. Raghavan's spirit also uses the body of Manu Verma to continue his relationship with his mentally retarded brother (KK Raina) and girlfriend Raveena Tandon. Ultimately, good triumphs over evil and Manu Verma is able to win his battle over Raghavan.
